ART TECH (5 credits, Special Projects, prerequisite: Art 10)
Ms. Burns created the Art Tech course, because she wanted the students of EPC to experience the technological side of creating Art. Art Tech is a general course aimed at exposing you to create work with technology, as well as, creating work for a client.
ART PORTFOLIO (5 credits, Special Projects, prerequisite: Art 20)
Ms. Burns created the Art Portfolio for students wishing to create a portfolio for a University or College, or wish to have more time creating Art. This is mostly a studio based course. In this course, you will research four Universities/Colleges that have Visual Arts Programs. After researching the programs each University/College offers, and their Portfolio requirements, you will create a Portfolio for the University/College of their choice. Application forms, an artist statement and a paragraph of why you want to attend the University/College will be submitted. You will then complete 12-20 works of art that are specific to the Portfolio requirements of your chosen University/College. At the end of the semester, you will submit your entire Portfolio, along with the necessary paper work, for final evaluation.
